Simon Wild – Chief Executive Officer
Simon has more than 20 years' experience in the aviation industry spanning both regional
and international travel. An accomplished business man, Simon has taken what was a small 6
person operation with two aircraft and turned it into a group which now consists of 40
aircraft, over 700 employees and has assets in excess of $100 million.
With an admirable presence in Cairns, Simon is now leading the way with Skytrans and aims
to further strengthen the already solid reputation of the company within the industry.
Simon has tertiary studies in Accountancy, Management and Law and maintains a private
pilots license.

Muralee Siva – General Manager, Finance
Muralee started with the Group in PNG in 1998 and has held various positions in finance and
senior management. Muralee’s major strengths include corporate finance, system
implementation and management accounting. He has been directly involved with many
aircraft acquisitions, company acquisitions, system implementations and financing deals.
Muralee holds a Masters Degree from Southern Cross University Australia and is an
Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK. He was also a
finalist in the Professional Manager of the Year competition for the Cairns region.

Mike Thinee – General Manager
Mike has over 20 years experience in the transport industry gained in various Senior Management positions. As General Manager of Ansett transport operations in PNG, Mike was a key member of the company and achieved numerous successes.
Mike is a central focus of Skytrans, providing hands on advice and support across the board.

Karen Heber – Manager of Quality Systems and Auditing
Karen joined Skytrans in November 2007 as the Quality Assurance Manager, overseeing a
team of Technical Writers and Internal Auditors. Karen comes to Skytrans with over ten years'
experience in the aviation industry, holding management roles in both Australian Airlines and
Qantas Airways. Most recently Karen was employed by Qantas Airways and seconded to
assist with the start up of Australian Airlines, holding the position of Manager Quality Systems & Auditing. Karen's strengths lie in Quality Management, Auditing, Occupational Health and
Safety, Rehabilitation of Injured Workers into the Workplace, Systems Implementation and
Project Management.

Carol West – Group Human Resource Manager
Carol has an operational management background from customer service industries spanning 23 years, the last 10 of which have been at executive level. She has recently joined the team as Group HR manager, after 7 years as Director of Human Resources for the Shangri-La hotel in Cairns.
Carol has a wealth of experience in best practice team management, as well as IR, recruitment, training, workplace relations and strategic management.

Adrian Smith – General Manager Engineering
Adrian has over 20 years’ experience in aviation. He is a Licensed Avionics Engineer on the
DHC-8, and has extensive experience on a wide range of aircraft, both within the RAAF and
the civilian world. |
