Skytrans plays a very important role in providing our remote communities with important cargo and freight such as medical equipment, food supplies, exports, parts, parcels and the mail.

Please note that some of the ports that Skytrans operate to have strict rules regarding the carriage of alcohol. These ports include:

  • Aurukun
  • Dauan Island (Torres Strait)
  • Warraber (Sue) Island (Torres Strait)
  • Saibai Island (Torres Strait)
  • Darnley (Erub) Island (Torres Strait)
  • Yam (Iama) Island (Torres Strait)

Excess Baggage

From Monday 21st August 2017, Skytrans will introduce an excess baggage fee. Passengers will receive up to 20 kgs of included baggage as part of their fare. An excess baggage rate of $5.50 will be charged per kg for any baggage weighing above 20 kgs. As part of Skytrans commitment to our communities, we are offering the lowest excess baggage fee in the market place and are providing our passengers with a 2 week grace period until Monday 4th September 2017.   Click here for more information.
